New features and improved design with DIPAS 4.0. Discussing texts and conducting surveys

Since the beginning of the year, a new version of DIPAS was released with a clearer, more intuitive backend for all project administrators. Here is an overview of the most important new features:

  • We have removed superfluous fields, clarified description texts and simplified image embedding and video linking.
  • You can now share DIPAS_stories for multiple procedures and reuse them easily.
  • You can manually assign participation processes in DIPAS to one of three status categories (‘active’, ‘ inactive’, ‘completed’).
  • Comments are now separated into comments on contributions and comments on drafts - and thanks to the comment ID they can also be filtered.
  • You can create page templates.
  • You can individually customise templates for standard pages (e.g. imprint) in the process.
  • You can import project areas via GeoJSON and export contributions as GeoJSON.
  • The touchtable frontend has its own short URL - practical for events or info points.

Further, the participation options have also been expanded: With DIPAS 4.0 you can now not only collect ideas and discuss plans, but also comment on and discuss texts directly. All DIPAS functions can now be used independently of each other - for a more flexible and customised design of participation processes. In addition, in the new version, surveys can also be integrated directly into the participation pages. Instead of being redirected to an external page, participants remain in the DIPAS process to complete the questionnaire.
